My inspiration comes from many sources. This painting was from a friend’s view of the Colorado sunset. The colors were so intense that I wished to try and capture the feeling.
Sometimes a view out of the window, a visit to some lush gardens or the memory of a childhood place can inspire one to paint. Actually seeing the watercolor paint reacting on wet and dry paper can begin to tell a story to the painter and gives the painter the urge to keep going to discover what it can become.
